| Comment: | | The summer exhibition of 2007 in the great St. Lawrence Church Alkmaar in The Netherlands is influenced by Genesis 1, verse 27: Male and female He created them. From whichever religious or philosophical conviction you regard the human being, we can agree upon one thing: the human being is a miracle. Obviously you can search for rational explanations or otherwise for this miracle, but you can also look. Look at that miracle. As artists do. They look at the human being and give their impression of that miracle. In paintings, statues, photos, installations… A group exhibition featuring Anita Salemink, Cathalijn Wouters, Chrystl Rijkeboer, Damy van der Wal, Els Slot, Elvira Overmars, Hanneke Francken, Hans van Eerd, Hélène Khoury, Ine van den Broek, Ingeborg Oderwald, Jacolien de Jong, Johan van Breukelen, Katinka Krijgsman, Linda Mekkes, Melanie Bosboom, Rob Arbouw, Viviane Rose, Wietze Dorsman and Wil de Velde.
