A very bright light gives to those charcoal drawings a transparency and a volume of a rare quality, and the big dark strokes add a texture to it, a contained strength that highlights even more the manliness of the bodies and poses. His paintings go from the lightness of the silhouettes in colorful flat tints to the superimposition of bodies which lines are intermingled until ensnaring us in their combinations and the spaces they enclose.
