Virtual hyper photo (Christian Pavet)

Photography with no camera nor model, but with no other limit than the one of imagination for those women with digital perfection bathed in a studied light down to the smallest detail to perfect the rendering and which skin is naturally textured or rendered in shimmering metal.

Interview with Christian Pavet

What message(s) do you want to express through your work?

Generally, here is my state of mind for that subject:

Woman, may those words give you faith.
I dedicate my pictures to all the women who suffer from the men’s foolishness.
To her who talks and is imprisoned.
To her who protects the child of her body.
To her who is raped for the troops’ entertainment.
To her who, beaten, implores for help and is not listened to.
To her who is mere flesh to idiot perverts.
My creations as a standard, I express the hope that that cruel nightmare would disappear for ever.

Which artists inspire you?, who are your masters?

Hopper, Magritte, Delveaux and of course Dali.

What have you gained by being on the internet?

To be seen as far away as possible from my small village. By the way, I only exhibit on the web now, my last (real-world) exhibition was in 1999.
On the web, everything is faster and I like it.

Could you tell us a few words about the place you live/work in?

I live and work in a rural area, which agrees me perfectly. Quietness, pure air and the cock’s song help myself to keep my inspirations as balanced as they can be. When I need noise and rush, I go to the city to go on a walkabout.
