Slender bodies, sometimes lascivious or just sensuous poses, but a wan-tinged skin, of a texture like used and crumbled stone, fungus, moss or necrosis, eerie highlight of an annonced deliquescence, sometimes criss-crossed with scars as many fashion accessories, but with some kind of a softness, a tender eye that goes beyond the mere appearances to render a je ne sais quoi of delicacy, maybe that transience of the instant which is bound to vanish.

Interview with Linwelin

What message(s) do you want to express through your work?

I don’t think to have a particular message, except to defend and to present digital art as a full art. Try to show that the computer is a tool at imagination’s and creation’s service, like a brush or a pencil, and that in any way the use of computers makes creation easier or aided. I try to create a new imagery, and especially in 3D work, so that the audience is made perplexed: drawing, photo, 3D art? We don’t know it any more and we accept it. In short, to give a place to the drawing’s subject rather than to its medium or to the technical performance.

Which artists inspire you?, who are your masters?

I don’t believe there are particular artists who inspire me. I’m rather inspired from movies, from image in general, that I can find everywhere, even if my main source remains the internet.

What have you gained by being on the internet?

A great way to spread my works; and many contacts.

Did the internet enable you to meet new models, to find new exhibit places?

Not yet.

Could you tell us a few words about the place you live/work in?

From Lorraine of origin, I am living in the Parisian area since a few months.
